Who We Are and What We Are About

Aaroncroft Publishing was established in 2002. Originally our purpose was to publish the works of one author, J. McGrath, but our vow even then was to remain open to all ideas. This means we are open to change as the avenues of success present themselves. However fluid this may sound, our standards are firm, and our goals, though they may veer, will always be shaped by them.

For fiction our guiding mantra is simple: Entertainment. Our attempt is to grab your interest with interesting dialogue, writing techniques and concepts, and hold on to it with a fast-paced plot punctuated by intrigue and surprise. Thus in our novels you will not find any attempts to bolster a weak story line with interpersonal strife or blatant sexual acts.

For nonfiction our guide is not so simple, but rather predicated on whether or not we believe each individual manuscript has merit and will find an audience. The almost infinite range of nonfiction topics means that there can never be  a simple guiding principle. Each manuscript must be  judged on whether of not we believe it is important or adds value to the subject, and whether or not the author’s skill can hold the reader’s attention.
